[Darkroom] Cleaning the Prinz Film Dryer

Looking for ideas on how to best clean the vinyl without destroying it.

Any suggestions on what type of filter to buy for the thing? The current
filter if I remember right is simply a porous spongy thing about 2-3mm
tick with no sort of frame.
