oh it was you that made that!  cool! someone found it and showed it to
me and i was wondering!

I have had lots of success in the past in etching images onto:

-twill weave fabric (fabric that has been woven in a different way that
has that diagonal appearance, like how denim is made)
-velvet/velour
-ultrasuede/fake suede
-leather (works best when interfaced)

i have some examples laying around somewhere of different etchings onto
fabric, i will bring them in to show people (although the settings won't
transfer).

also i found that the fiber content of the fabric is a big variable in
how it comes out - it kept throwing my ability to predict results till i
learned to pay attention to it.
