Well shoot. I used bunch of proprietary Google goo (since I work there) to 
mess around. I probably should've actually looked harder at what existed 
at the python level. Not necessarily very collaboration friendly. IIRC the 
python FFT libraries I found a while back where pure python and slow.

Let's see... going through my notes... I also used libfftw3. Here we are. 
My NIA stuff used it (straight C++). It's all a bunch of duct tape because 
I just waded in.

Let me check to see what we open sourced also before I shoot my mouth off 
(like I haven't done that already).
