Description:

For more complex interactive web applications, the WebSockets protocol has
many advantages over HTML alone. The Flask framework also allows
applications to use WebSockets to enable low latency bi-directional
communications between the clients and the server, with the Flask-SocketIO
module.


This talk will give an overview of the WebSockets protocol, and will walk
through how to implement a simple interactive application using
Flask-SocketIO.

A basic knowledge of Python, Javascript and Flask is recommended as a
prerequisite for this course.
