Al Lasher's might be a place to try; they're in Berkeley, though not too 
far from BART.

It's a weird place, with lots of unlabelled and completely random 
inventory.  It's worth a visit just for the experience.  I have bought 
soldering equipment there, but I suggest you bring your iron to be sure 
you're getting the right tip.
