[Noisebridge-discuss] naming

I'm somewhat more partial to Noisebridge. With "Noisebridge", if people do a search on google for us, we come up #1, whereas with "Noise Bridge", we'd be in the noise.

Mitch.

A draft, yes, but it needs work. (link)

I think Noisebridge or Noise Bridge, no qualifiers, are good. We can always trademark, or just use, all the elaborated versions too, so we can use Noisebridge Labs, Noisebridge Cooperative, Noisebridge Research, Noisebridge Insurrection (sounds like a party), or whatever else takes our fancy, while keeping the official name simple and non-specific

I think Noise Bridge is good because in good times, we'll be a lab if

that is our direction. Or we'll be a Co-op. Or whatever we'll be,

noisebridge will mean just those things.

I suggest this: the first person to finish writing a complete draft of

the bylaws on the wiki has the right to nominate names. Now let's see if

that's an inducement. ;)

We've already done this. Too many players have a stake it in ;-)

I suggest we leave it as Noise Bridge or Noisebridge.
