>From what I can tell, the AnonAccess project is a long way from being a useable system. It is not a finished project, but just a first draft, and no one has made it work yet (the schematic actually has parts without values determined, and also has some lines that are not connected). Thomas says that the project is actually on hold by its originators, and that he is probably the only one working on the AnonAccess project.

My opinion is that we go with the cerberus Access Control system, if we want to use an electronic card system instead of keys. The biggest expense for any electronic lock system is the electronic lock itself, which both AnonAccess and the cerberus project share in common. We can always switch to the AnonAccess later, when someone(s) has/have energy to make it a working system. (Whether we want to pay for the few hundred dollars for the electronic lock and its installation is another matter for later consensus).

In the meantime, no one is being kept out because of anonymity or lack of anonymity. Everyone has keys who wants them. And anyone with a hidden webcam can watch any of us walking in and out of 83C.

Mitch.
