When I got here a bit ago, I couldn't reach the Internet.  I had 
wireless and tethered access through to the soekris and could request 
and obtain a new DHCP lease.  I power cycled the cable modem and 
external access was restored.

Thanks whoever put the network map up!  Networking is not my area of 
expertise but knowing how it was configured was super helpful in finding 
the point of failure.
