For further transit-status stuff (to make it really easy to find out
when the next train or bus is, so you don't have to wait around for
one, but without annoying everybody in the space all the time), we
would like to have

(a) a large LED sign of some sort (that can be controlled by a
computer over a serial port);

(b) a button. :-)
