Jake and I are discussing this right now.  How about the following --

Purchase the supplies.  (Alternatively I can purchase them, but I'm
out of town after noon Thursday.)

Submit a receipt to Mitch (or Jake) and get reimbursed out of
Noisebridge monies.

Pay membership dues as normal.

We'd like to avoid things that even look remotely like "Bob donated a
Gold Plated Frobnicator which is worth 5 TRILLION DOLLARS and therefore
is entitled to be a member for the next 5.2 billion years."  Ergo,
avoiding situations where donations are used as payment of membership
dues.  We may be being overly paranoid about this, but the above
scenario seems like the best path forward.
