Adafruit made some of these for soldering and is including them in some
kits:

Mitch and I were talking about trying to get some of them for circuit
hacking mondays and for the hardware hacking table at maker faire (qty 40
soldering stations times 2 full days). Mitch suggested an initial order
of 500 patches, which looks like it should run between $300-$400 depending
on the size of the patch according to the couple of sites I checked.

What are NB's feelings on funding this? That's a bit more than I'd want
to chip in myself for this project, so I'd like to gauge general interest
before I go and put in the effort to get the artwork and quotes.
