Just remember that you shouldn't trust a part from a library that you 
didn't make yourself.   Someone else might not have made the part 
correctly, and it's a very expensive mistake to find out after 
fabrication.  Making your own parts is fun and easy, and you can work 
straight from the datasheet.

The best advice I received was to print the board's layers out on a 
laser printer, then actually place your parts on the paper to make sure 
everything actually fits and the pins line up.

Also, the tutorial that ships in the eagle package is decent, if a bit 
long winded.
