[Noisebridge-discuss] Club Mate pricing

As a point of reference, Club Mate is 2.50 Euro here at HAR right now ($3.54
w/ current exchange rate).  Seeing how it's being bought from an importer
rather than bought directly; if you are complaining about the $.46
difference between what I am able to get it at one of the largest European
hacker conferences for something that is intended to be a fundraiser for
noisebridge; hopefully this perspective will reduce complaints on our
requested donation.
However!  If you want to change this, we can get it for less; but would need
to do it in shipping container increments.  Ralf did the research to figure
out how much this would cost us (per bottle cost would be much lower, but up
front costs were $15-$20k iirc).

There are other alternatives mentioned in the past too. Sol Mate from Canada
I have been able to obtain for about $1.19/bottle in magnitudes of 2 or more
cases at a time.

Sorry if I seem a bit curt; but this has been discussed for almost a year on
list in various forms & I am just summarized alternative options; I don't
think with the current pallet shipment it is reasonable to ask for
less than we are currently requesting.
