[Noisebridge-discuss] When are we getting a laser cutter?

I have an Epilog 36EXT/120 that is an insurance salvage. It requires
$2k or more of repairs, and is currently being evaluated. These
things are very expensive, with a 36EXT/30 going for $16k new, and the
dual laser 120 watt system is $25k. The Chinese made units can be
had for between $4k and $10k, so I'm thinking of selling the
(admittedly damaged and 'refurbished') one I got a hold of and buying
a J-TEC instead.
Opinions?
