I've started researching what it'll take to build a non-tethered
software image of Android.  (No, I don't want to send my phone book to
Google, thank you very much.  Please don't try to convince me
otherwise.  Unless you're going to buy me lots of beer while doing the
convincing, and even then.)

There's an android build environment on pony in /d3/android/, feel free
to clone your own copy if you'd like.  (It's all git-based!)

I just followed the directions to make it:

There will probably be a /wiki/Android page as well ... as soon as
someone gets around to writing it.  (hint hint.)
