I know a number of folks around here order from McMaster from time to time.
There's been some confusion about best shipping methods.  Jim Mason has good
advice here for to keep a rapid turnaround without spending a ton of money.

many of us have been bemoaning the loss of california overnight shipping as
the default mcmaster ship mode.  i thought ups bought california overnight.
the woman at mcmaster tells me it was bought by an outfit called "ontrac"
and that it can still be used as the default shipper.  i am unsure if it
really ends up being overnight as before, but it is likely better than the
often 3 day ups wait.

i reset our mcmaster account to the ontrac option for default.

be careful when talking about this with them as if you say you want the one
day shipping, you end up with ups red label, for a ton of money.  what we
want is the standard on trac shipping.  if this is as before, it will be
next day if ordered before 6pm.
