Since selling things @DefCON without being a licensed vendor is
_severely frowned upon_, I'd like to give NB'ers who are headed to
DC17 a chance to 'pre-reserve' a HackTheBadge board. For that matter,
even if you're not going to DC17 and just want a cool
mostly-Arduino-compatible board with lots of good hackable things
onboard to play with.

The HackTheBadge ( http://www.igotu.com/images/HackTheBadge.png ) has:

An Atmel AVR mega235P processor, running @16Mhz and 5V. (By cutting a
trace and bridging two pins, the voltage regulator can be set to 3V
and the board will run at 8Mhz.)
A 3x5 matrix of red LED's connected to PORTC
Six pushbutton switches connected to PORTB
Four green indicator LED's on PORTE 2,3,6,7
PWM controlled LED on PORTB 7
Power indicator LED
RX/TX indicator LED's
Arduino shield-compatible pin headers installed (some shields won't
work, because they have pin-behavior dependencies like SPI or PWM)
All eight analog pins for PORTF are on a header
Six pin AVR ICSP programming header
USB FTDI (mini-b) on board, USB can be used to power the board
Two CR2450 (600mAh * 2!!) coin cell holders to power the board
Power supply selectable between coin cells and USB

These uber-hackable microcontroller (and wearable too!) boards are
3x5" and are $50.
