The real problem is that 83c is too open and airy. Socializing in any
part of the space infects the rest. It's kind of great for hanging
out, not so good for working, as you've mentioned.
One of the things several people have mentioned when looking at new
places: "rabbit warren." We'd like the new space to include a lot of
smaller rooms, kind of like the study nooks in college libraries. A
cafe table, room for 4 people, with a window in the door and a
whiteboard.
