I don't know, and I don't see as it really matters all that much.

Not necessarily; Noisebridge is not limited to one physical location.
If space elsewhere can be acquired by donation, then there's no reason
to insist that gear be in a specific location.  We already have multiple
virtual machines running in donated space in various colos.  Some of
them are donated by the systems' owners, some of them are paid for out
of members' pockets without going through the hassle of Noisebridge
budgeting.

(Asking Noisebridge to pay to rent space elsewhere, OTOH, is probably
not worth the hassle of dealing with the consensus process.)

Noisebridge is a doocracy -- if members are interested in managing
donated hardware in donated space, I'm fully in favor of doing so.  My
philosophy has been that, so long as the activity is not actively
dangerous, I try not to tell members *not* to do things.
