[Noisebridge-discuss] Shop Class tonight, Friday June 19th @ 8pm

Hi all,

A reminder about the Shop class this evening at 83C Wiese, 8pm.

Tonight (assuming the McMaster order arrives) we'll proceed with
making the booklet presses, starting with cutting some Aluminum.
We have enough aluminum for making 4 presses, I believe 3 people
have expressed interest in making one of these. We can order more
material if there's more interest.

The goal of the class ongoing is to cover the basics of how to:

* use fabrication tools: hacksaw, vise, drill press, bench grinder
* use some layout tools: machinist's square, scriber, centerpunch
* understand and follow safe shop practices
* read a blueprint
* create dimensioned drawings that fully define a mechanical part
* create things you're excited about using in your day-to-day life
