Hey I'm Micah. This is the first time I've posted to this list, but I've
been to the noisebridge space a couple times. Right now I have a normal
cell phone with a really quiet microphone because I spilled water on it
awhile ago, and I feel obnoxious talking really really loudly just so
people can hear me. So I'm thinking of buying a new phone that's also a
fancy internet gadget with bells and whistles, and I figured this list
would be good for suggestions, since I don't really know at all what my
options are.

I want something that has wifi and that I can put an ssh server on. I'd
prefer an open source operating system without DRM or spyware built-in,
but I might be into getting something that I could jailbreak. And it
would be kind of nice if it had a decent amount of storage space so it
could double as an mp3 player.

All I really know about in this category is the iPhone, a google android
phone, and the OpenMoko, and I don't really know many details about
those either. Any suggestions?

Oh yeah, and right now I use verizon. It'd be cool if I could stay with
the same service provider, but I'd be willing to switch to something
else if I had to.

Thanks,
micah
