If Mitch
1) already has and uses Quicken
2) is more comfortable using Quicken,

then is there a non-religious reason to urge him to change? I agree in  
principle that there are kickass freeware/opensourced software for  
this - I love GNUCash (and hate it's lack of MacOSX workability) - but  
people, Mitch is doing important work for Noisebridge, and putting in  
a lot of his own time and energy. Let's please not use him to push  
through agendas.

Also, please note that I see a difference between 'pushing agendas'  
and 'suggesting technology'. The latter is done with a certain amount  
of humility, and probably directly to Mitch, instead of in a public  
discussion space.
