At one point I looked intro getting a bus for a dorkbot field trip,
but it was just too expensive. Thought it would be fun to hang out,
and maybe get dim sum in Cupertino, and hit Weird Stuff + Halted or
other places open on Saturday.
It would totally rock to go on a bus, which would let us socialize and
also give us space to haul our loot back. I called around
(teacherwiththebus.com, Green Tortoise) and the going rate is nearly
$1000 for half a day, meaning we'd need 30+ people willing to pay $30+
in order to cover it, which I realize is kind of steep. (On the plus
side, it's totally legal to drink on the bus.)
Here's a little form to gauge how much interest there is: please take
a look if you are at all interested:

I will publish results (minus identifying info) when/if it hits some
kind of critical mass
On the other hand, can anyone suggest transportation alternatives?
Smaller vans? Personal cars + Twitter?
