You could've asked around a bit, there are a few dozen people who could
connect you with David (who donated the lathe).

How about we have a lathe workshop, like, tomorrow or something? I'd
love to learn more about how to use it and I suspect the relevant parts
are around somewhere. I'll ping David to see if he's available.
