Yes, but I would hope that someone would figure out by themselves that 
they should be respectful.

If I was unfamiliar with the big LED screen and I wanted to mess with it, 
my reasoning would go "this thing is is making blinky lights in an obvious 
pattern, it's mounted on the wall, and it's running.  Maybe I should ask 
someone before taking it down and taking it apart and making it 
nonfunctional."

Talking about your plans with a couple other people, even if they aren't 
experts in the particular subject matter, will generally give you a pretty 
good idea of whether what you're wanting to do fits within noisebridge's 
social norms or not.

Note that I'm not objecting at all to someone hacking on it.  In fact, I'd 
love it if someone else was familiar with how it worked inside.  I just 
don't want to have to clean up someone else's mess, so I'd rather they put 
in the effort to learn about it first.
