On that note, there are NSF grants available for

"projects that explore synergistic cross disciplinary research in
creativity and computer science and information technology,"
 inlcuding "informal learning environments, that reward creative
thinking" and "innovative modes of research that include creative
professionals, "

Perhaps a long shot, but could we repurpose SFSD application stressing
"innovative approaches to education"?
