[Noisebridge-discuss] Be Excellent to one another

This argument can go in many different directions. I think its obvious
people have made an attempt to be excellent to each other and I think
its ridiculous that its got to this point. Everybody has different
opinions and it seems that the opinions of a few *elite* members
outweighs the opinions of the majority.

I respect that people have allergies, and things affect them in
different ways. I think it sucks. I have allergies too, and because of
them I basically cannot live happily in the midwest or on the east
coast. For me those areas mean I'm stuffed up and sick for ~8 months
of the year. Sucks for me, but San Francisco is pretty damned cool.

A fun true story: I'm allergic to cats, and dogs. My parents knew I
was allergic to cats, but not dogs. We had dogs from the time I was 4
until the time I left my parents house at 19. Oh, my parents still
have dogs. I still visit them, I have reactions when I go there. Its
still worth it to visit them. How am I allergic? Oh swelling on
contact with dog saliva, sinuses clogging up, super drippy grossness.
So, please don't bring your dog or cat to the space either. I'm
allergic.

Additionally, if the topic is really "omg drugs" what if members show
up to the space on other drugs like lsd, shrooms, or speed, or do coke
in the bathroom? I also think that all alcohol should be banned from
the space as it causes people to become assholes.

Next up:

The noises in the shop are loud and give me a headache, please take
them outside when you want to use them.
The leaded solder smoke is poisoning us all.
MERCURY
The sawdust in the air totally makes my allergies go nuts, but this is
likely the first time you've heard me say anything about it because I
understand that this is a mixed use environment occupied by many
different people.

Thanks, and please have a excellent day.
