[Noisebridge-discuss] Fundraiser at Cellspace October 9th

The primary point of THIS party is to raise money. I expect to get it out
to some media outlets that we wouldn't advertise other sorts of events in
the space. As I mentioned otherwise, other parties could and should be held
in the space, but more on a "members and guests" basis. The last thing in
the world I want is to have all the hipsters in SF decide NB is a cool venue
and decide it's the place to come party all the time.

Maker Faire is going to rock next year. The party was at Noisebridge this
year and it was crazy crowded. I anticipate the party being MUCH bigger
coming up, as word spreads about how it went last year. I expect a lot of
out-of-towners will experience Noisebridge only in party mode during that
time, but it's OK since they already get what we're about. Just like you
do.

By all means, do keep the criticism coming. I really want to be sure
everyone's on board with this before we do it.

Christie
