[Noisebridge-discuss] Fundraiser at Cellspace October 9th

See, that's the tricky thing. I want to get money out of people who hang
out in cafes, read laughingsquid and generally don't contribute much
otherwise to the world around them. If they do, then they can take the
extra step of coming to visit the space at some other time. (5moF will
conveniently be the following week.) I don't want to have to limit this
event to people who might otherwise contribute to Noisebridge (except
possibly in offering their oh-so-well-informed opinion that we should do
more parties).

Nobody present last night was one of these people. There were people who
behaved badly, but we will forgive them because they're cool people.

One of the pitfalls I see when people are trying to raise money is that they
hit up the same few active people over and over again. I want to bring in
people who wouldn't otherwise donate to the space. People who are cool to
hang out with, but don't fit our paradigm.

Of course, I feel like I'm saying this over and over again. Is it not
making sense? Am I helping clarify? Or is the discussion just dragging on?
