i'm traveling and need a simple schematic from one of his engineers 
notebooks, the volume of timer, op-amp, and something else circuits.

the circuit is a simple little noisemaker consisting of two 555 timers. 
IIRC, one generates a lower frequency that then modulates the second 
tone generator.

i think it's called something something like "sound effects generator". 
not to be confused with his "stepped tone generator" which uses a single 
556, and then went on to become the atari punk console.

the nice thing about his circuit is as i recall it is incredibly 
tolerant of values, and since i have limited resources i figured it 
would be perfect.

if anyone has a pointer to an online resource, or a schematic or 
picture, or has the patience to copy it in ascii form, that would be awesome
