How about hacking an upright piano into the ultimate weighted keyboard?

1. Remove the strings
2. Place pressure transducers under the hammers
3. ???
4. Profit!

Seriously though, how much work would it be to patch an array of
88 pressure-sensitive (piezoelectric?) transducers into a musically
usable output?
