Seriously, I just want things to work out of the box and not dick
around with compiling kernels or installing python from source (which
is gnarly as python uses python to bootstrap compile itself, as far as
I can figure out).  So more a distro question rather than cpu.

Thanks for the tip! Seen them but not used them, will spec them out.
