I agree.  However, I also think there should also be some dedicated 
discussion about more effective and efficient ways to get some money.

For example, I've already thought of a few ideas:
* discounts for multi-month memberships
* ability to "gift" memberships to other people
* a weekly/monthly newsletter email (not a mailing list) to remind 
people we need money.
