I like Google and I think Google Apps is a great thing some of the time.

With that said - Thanks but no thanks.

We run our own mail system because it's required for the things we
currently host - such as the wiki and mailing lists. We don't currently
and haven't really ever offered email addresses because it's a giant
nightmare for any number of reasons. One of which is that it is a
possible list of users that will be given away without our consent.
Another of which is that it's hard to experiment without having to run
around a bunch of google systems.

Also, in the end, we're hackers. It's not hard to run a mail server for
the reasons we put one up in the first place: we needed it!
