I have been playing a bit with SIP and Asterisk.

My goal is to port my Google Voice number to a VoIP provider (like
Link2VOIP) and create a setup that will emulate Google Voice's
features.

I was wondering if anybody has any pointers on how one would setup
SMSs in such a scenario.

Does anybody have a guess on how can Google (other than unicorn
magick) receive SMSs on all these numbers?

I was also wondering, how do Short Message Service Centres know where
to forward messages? Is there some sort of routing table? Assuming
infinite resources, can I buy an entry there?
