FWIW I actually prefer video documentation sometimes.

Depends on the thing whether it's useful. Mostly if there's a visual
or emotive component, I think.

This is a perfectly reasonable instance thereof, since written it'd
require explaining how to do things visually.

But this is hardly an exclusive. You can have both. ;-)
