[Noisebridge-discuss] My pants got pwned @ 5MoF

John, if someone lased you at 5MoF, it is pretty clear that they are not
on this list, nor did anyone who is on this list see anything about it.
We have had one or two minor incidences that looked like attempted
vandalism in the past, but those who did them stepped up and explained
and things got cleared up pretty quick. Whatever the faults of
Noisebridgers, we are pretty strong on taking responsibility for our own
actions and I am confident we'd have heard from someone by now if anyone
did know anything.

Enough people with laser expertise have said they think it wasn't a
laser, at least not as you suggest, that my feeling is there must be
some other explanation. If David Fine is serious in his desire to
experiment with denim, that might shed more light. I admit to some
curiosity on that - there's a pair of jeans on my hack shelf which I
would be happy to donate to the cause of this experiment.

Christie, I do think your use of 'credulous' is too strong. Someone
without laser experience, such as myself, doesn't have the knowledge to
determine what is a reasonable expectation for heat transfer, etc. I
don't see this as a failure of personal responsibility, I see it as
someone attempting to solve a puzzle.
