[Noisebridge-discuss] This Saturday -- an odd call for help with an odd bit of boat

Hey youse,

We're building a stage-boat for Ephemerisle (don't know about
Ephemerisle? this is it: http://ephemerisle.org )

This floating stage all begins with this amazing, all-wood houseboat
that we dredged out of the Delta last week.  Here's some video:

This boat's a beaute -- a real handmade diamond in the cruft.  The
story is that a father and his son built it together in like 1945.
It's the kind of boat you expect to find stocked with cans of spinach
so its captain can be strong to the finish.

Now that it's been dragged out of the water, it needs a little tough
love to whip it into ship shape, to get it ready for its massive
makeover.

SO... this Saturday, Chicken John Rinaldi is driving up to the Delta
with as many wackos as he can carry to help clean up and start turning
this rock solid old craft into a work of art to support many works of
art.

You'll want to come in coveralls, hazmat suits, or what-have-you,
because you will get mucky.

Tool experience is useful here; none with boats is necessary -- just
show up and be ready to work.

You will make history!  You will be part of a grand project for
Ephemerisle!  You will be fed lunch!

get directions.  The ride to the Delta takes about 2 hours.

Start buying cans of spinach.
