Yes, it is.

One of the reasons we ask people not to leave their useful $foo at NB is 
that it reduces the likelihood that someone else with a $foo they want 
to get rid of will actually donate theirs because, hey, it looks like 
Noisebridge already has one.

Exceptions have been made for extraordinary values of $foo :)
