Hello, Jean-François,

I don't have an apartment to offer you, but I wanted to welcome you to San Francisco and to Noisebridge.

Looks like you've been way busy doing cool projects! I'd love to see what you're up to in person after you get to town for your internshpip. I think a lot of people here will be interested in learning from your experience, if you have any time to share.

Did you know that San Francisco is only 7 miles across? That's 11km. So, if you live just about anywhere in town, that'll be within your 10km bike ride. Biking here is really nice, too (though, in winter you'll want fenders, since it rains every day till March). And some places you could live would require some really nice hills to climb.

If it's an option for you: Noisebridge is in The Mission, which is a really nice, lively, diverse neighborhood, and close to Pennsylvania Ave (and you can avoid Potrero Hill if you add a couple km to your bike ride).

Best,
Mitch.

Hello fellow hackers!

I’m a 22 years old engineering student from Quebec, Canada. I will be doing an internship in San Francisco from January 4 to the end of April. As I will be new in town, I am looking for a place with nice roommates. As I am involved in robotics, electronics and DIY, I tough that contacting the local hackerspace could be a great way of finding an apartment.

I am looking for a place not too far from Pennsylvania Ave (a less than 10km bike ride is ok!).

If you need someone for that period, please let me know! Feel free to ask any questions about me.

Important: someone from my job will pay the deposit (so don’t worry about renting the room to an outsider!)

Bonus: I can teach you French! ;)

Have a good day,
--
