Ever wanted to write a novel (if you haven't already)?
NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, which is an
insanely ambitious project to get people all over the world to write a
50k word novel in the month of November.  Everyone who completes their
novel before November ends, wins.  lettersandlight.org is a 501c3
nonprofit that runs this literary marathon machine, and they are
looking for volunteers in the SF bay area to help them out on the 5th
and the 7th of October next week.

Hello SF Wrimos!

Do you dream of putting posters into tubes, counting stickers, and
making classroom incentive kits in the company of the most delightful
people in the whole Bay Area? Do elastic bands and tape guns make your
heart go pitter patter? Do you long for the opportunity to do good for
the world while simultaneously eating pizza?

It's your lucky day. The Office of Letters and Light is holding two
volunteer Packing Nights, and we need your help.

On Tuesday (Oct. 5) and Thursday (Oct. 7) from 6 PM to 9 PM, we'll be
packing goodies for teachers, Municipal Liaisons, and OLL donors. In
exchange for your assistance, we'll provide pizza, drinks, and a
special place in our hearts forevermore.

Our office is conveniently located just down the street from the Ashby
BART station at 3354 Adeline Street, right on the border between
Berkeley and Oakland. There is ample parking in front of the office
and several bus lines run right nearby.

If you would like to join the OLL staff and be a magical packing elf
on one or both of our exciting packing nights, email
tavia at lettersandlight.org right away! Even if you can only come for
part of an evening, every package you pack helps us bring the magic of
NaNoWriMo somewhere else in the world.
