We've had a lot of crazy people in and no assaults.
I don't think calling the police if we can't get a disruptive person to stop
being disruptive or leave is inappropriate, but we should also be aware that
as a population, Noisebridgers are uncomfortable with the fuzz, so we should
leave it as a last resort -- and by 'last' i mean 'after you tried to get
them to calm down, and after you asked someone else to try to get them to
calm down, and after you couldn't figure out how to get them to leave any
other way,'
At that point someone who objects to your calling the police has basically
taken responsibility for dealing with the crazy person :)
