You have clearly misunderstood the purpose of my message. You spoke in
absolutes ('people should not...' 'there is no reason to...') whereas my
intention was to state my differing opinions, non-prescriptively. You
mentioned weapons, I specifically said I didn't think people shouldn't make
them. I suggest you try re-reading what I wrote.

Also think about the different types of people who might be interested in
beginning to learn about martial arts at noisebridge, and how their purposes
in studying them might be different than your own. Also maybe consider how
their use of terms might be less focused than yours: for example, when I
would say general martial arts training about a whole host of activities,
you might consider some of those activities to be a discussion of tactics,
and some to be actual physical training.  If you know of some existing
martial arts groups/facilities that people might want to know about, it
might be a more successful approach to suggest them specifically.

Then, try accepting that nobody can really tell anyone how they 'should' use
noisebridge and expect to be taken seriously.
