Do you mean bioinformatics like gene sequencing and statistics
and stuff like that? I know Glen J and Ben W work in that field,
they might be interested...

Also the machine learning meetups have at times touched on
bioinformatics, specifically with gene sequences and hidden
markov models. Any interest in allying your efforts with the ML
group? There's plenty of space for that kind of interest, and time
to present and discuss topics you're interested in. We meet up
Wednesday nights at 7:30pm in the Church classroom:
