[Noisebridge-discuss] Ramblings: "Christmas Tree Large LED 'Screen'"

These are ramblings. I don't have time to research this or do this and it
will be more fun to think about than to implement (as implementation is
always so much harder work than it seems when it's in the "idea" stage).
Buuutt...

I'm inspired...

This is a cool Christmas Tree. What would be involved in making this a
generic LED-like (but not really LED) screen with Christmas Lights. So,
this large screen could be "programmed" every year to do different things
-- maybe even a real pacman game. I'm thinking of a shield that would click
on the Arduino that would have a wire connecting to this large screen.

Strings of Christmas light can be turned off and on, but individual lights
can not. So, we could have one axis of power on and off, but not the other.
Could we take the Christmas bulbs and make a grid, so that if both the x
and y coord for that grid here at a high edge, the light could come on?

Just a thought experiment... It's fun to think about....
