More to the theme of robots killing people, is any work being down on
a safety curtain so that the wheelchair bot doesn't smash into things?
Something that will detect when it bumps an object, so it kills the
motor and engages the brake?

That thing is pretty heavy, and has a ton of torque (enough to carry
around people). We've had it hit (and push back a ways) tables and
furniture before.
