There was a charger that was wound around the car's wheels. It is a small wall-wart (about 3" by 2"?) and has a picture of the car glued to it.

I have no idea if the charger has any overcharge protection circuitry in it, so I charged the pack for ~30 minutes and played with it for a couple of minutes before returning it back to the donation box.
