[Noisebridge-discuss] noisebridge-discuss: mailing list versus forum system

I agree with aestetix 100% on this.  I don't think very many people, 
myself included, would feel comfortable with something that's not 
locally hosted.  That's why I offered to get a server and put it in the 
server room.

I remember Jim saying way back when that he, and some others, said they 
much prefer the simplicity of receiving mail from mailing lists versus a 
forum system.  However, a good forum system will allow posts to 
automatically be emailed to those that opt-in.  A good forum system 
would also, with some configuration, also allow posting to the forums by 
sending emails.

Forums also have a few other niceties, like being easier to search, 
ability to click on the poster's name to find out more about the person 
or visit their website, etc.
