We rename them "warm happy home places" and rename the locks "fuzzies like velvet."
Bad people might be less likely to pick your fuzzy.

Paint the warm happy home places to blend in with the surroundings - a trompe l'oeil
of a hacker space with laptops, cell phones, tablets, and cameras everywhere.
People will say, "I want to go to there."
