[Noisebridge-discuss] color changing SMD LEDs?

I think Meredith is looking for the RGB LEDs that have built in controllers to make them automatically flash colors. You can get various flavors of these for very cheap on eBay -- like this:http://cgi.ebay.com/New-50pcs-3mm-Slow-Flashing-MultiColor-RGB-LED-8Kmcd-/290371329326?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item439b7add2e(if you search, you can find them cheaper than these). But I've never seen one in SMD. They may exist, but I haven't seen any. It would be cool to find them. If you do, please let me know. Mitch.

You mean an RGB LED? Or by color changing do you mean something that changes color automatically?
There are boatloads of SMT RGB LEDs in all sizes on digikey. Sparkfun has at least one too.

The one from digikey I have used is 516-1778-1-ND

Has anyone seen any of those fancy color changing LEDs in SMD format? Specifically in the 1206 footprint size range, though my pads could fit down to 0805 or a bit larger than 1206, whatever that would be. Meredith
